Sponsored by the Grier School 

Bring the kids any day but especially on Sunday when they can join the Dressage Explorers and make their own stick horse to ride down the centerline in the Dixon Oval, join the selfie-scavenger hunt with prizes, and see the exhibitions.

Schedule of Events

All times are approximate and subject to change due to weather or horse show schedule

10:00  Day officially starts with a Blessing of the Animals – location will be announced

10:00  Model Horse show starts

10:00 – 1:00  Various exhibitions, meet-n-greets – near the Dressage Explorers tent 

10:30    Make-N-Take Stick Horse tent open

10:30 – 1:00  Trick or Treating in the Fall Festival vendor area 

12:00  Make-N-Take Stick Horse tent close

12:00  Centerline Ride in the Dixon Oval

12:30  Model Horse show judging complete.

Before 1:00 –  Model Horse Winner awards – location will be announced

Dressage Explorer Exhibition list

Blessing of the Animals sponsored by Sugartown Veterinary Hospital, Blue Bell Veterinary Center, Newtown Square Veterinary Hospital in the Dixon Oval at ~10 AM

The Grier School – Visit with representatives of the Grier School, presenting sponsor of Dressage Explorers, and learn about their academic and riding opportunities.

The Barn at Spring Brook – An animal sanctuary and therapy program for children.

Work to Ride  – A riding/polo club for kids located in Philadelphia. Info booth and riders meet-n-greet.

All4Paws Rescue  – Stop by the table be set up near the Committee stand.

Montgomery County 4-H Tiny Trotters  –  A youth horse club. Info booth and rider meet-n-greet.

Pony Club –   A youth horse club. Info booth and rider meet-n-greet. 

Berks County 4-H  –  A youth horse club. Info booth and rider meet-n-greet.

Kimberly & Company  – Face Painting

Special Equestrians –  A therapeutic riding program presenting the Pony Kissing Booth.

Dressage 4 Kids (D4K) -Info booth, riders meet-n-greet, test ride discussion.

USDF Young Rider – Info booth, riders meet-n-greet.

Lauren Annett (USEF “r” Dressage Judge, USDF “r” Western Dressage Judge and USDF Silver and Bronze Medalist )will be there with her Friesian cross horse for petting and to answer questions about the breed.

Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) –  A youth horse club.  Info booth, riders meet-n-greet.

Delaware Valley University  & Centenary College – Info booths 

Ryerss Farm – The country’s oldest non-profit organization of its kind, dedicated to providing a comfortable retirement for horses.

New Bolton Center Vet Truck/Meet the Vet & Vet Tech and Talk about  the path to vet school.

Montgomery County 4H Model Horse Show for Ages 6-18 – The model horse display and competition will take place in the Picnic Grove (near the pub).
